How to Change Your SAP / Employee Self Service (ESS) Password
Visit the ESS password reset website: https://www.essmembers.com:9443/passwordreset and follow the simple instructions. A new password will be emailed to you within minutes.
IMPORTANT:
- You must be on the Fluor network (physically in the office or connected using Ivanti/Pulse Secure) to change your SAP / ESS password.
- If you are using a password manager, make sure to update your password in that application as well.

- If you receive the message "User not in validity date" when accessing Employee Self Service (ESS) or have not logged into ESS in the previous 90 days, contact the Enterprise Help Desk using the information below to have your access reinstated.
ESS Password Rules
- Must be a minimum of eight characters, and a maximum of 40 characters.
- Passwords are case-sensitive.
- Must include at least one upper (A-Z) and one lower (a-z) case letter.
- Must include at least one numeric character (0-9)
- Cannot contain 3 repetitive alpha-numeric characters (such as 000 and aaa)
- Cannot begin with three repetitive characters (including special characters)
- Cannot contain certain words or patterns (such as football and asdf). If you receive one of these messages: "Password is in exception table" or "New password invalid" create a different password.
- Expires every 90 days.
- Cannot be the same as the last 10 passwords.
- Allows three incorrect login attempts per session and 5 before a 15-minute lockout.
